Why pull up banners still win on a stand

Bump-in windows are short and usually shared with everyone else on the floor. A pull up banner goes from bag to standing in well under a minute, needs no tools, no rigging approval and no trades.

It is also the only display format you can realistically carry as checked luggage to an interstate show, which is why exhibitors who do several shows a year end up with a set of them.

Sizing to your booth

A standard 3×3m booth takes two 850s comfortably, or one 1800 Superwide as a back wall with a single 850 at the aisle. Check the venue’s height limit before ordering a Giant 1000 — some halls cap stand height at 2.4m.

Put the message in the top third. On a crowded floor the bottom half of every banner is behind someone’s head.

Getting it printed in time

The 48 hours runs from proof approval, not from order. Exhibitors who leave artwork to the last week are the ones who miss, so get the file in early even if the show is months away — an approved proof sits happily until you need it.

Questions

How many banners for a 3x3 booth?

Two 850s is the common setup — one either side, or one back and one at the aisle. One 1800 Superwide as a back wall plus one 850 also works and reads as a more finished stand.

Will it fit in the overhead locker?

The 850 and smaller travel easily in their carry bag. The 1500, Giant 1000 and 1800 Superwide are longer and generally need to be checked.

Can I use the same stand at every show?

Yes. Keep the hardware and order a replacement graphic when the message changes. That is the cheapest way to run a different offer at each show.
